The process seems tedious, there's SOO much information on the internet, and it all feels a bit... overwhelming.

Best Homemade Wine Kit for Beginners
I will formally welcome you to the world of winemaking! A world of community and creation. Sharing our wines, or beers, with our community is why we make these drinks in the first place.
A disclaimer: Winemaking kits don't always have everything you need to start making wine right away.
I know, it's a bit annoying. And, who to go to to get help? Well, hopefully, this!!
Winemaking kits and beer making kits are very similar. They *usually* will have the ingredients, but not the equipment.
Let me repeat that, they will have the ingredients but not the equipment, *usually*.
So, when you are beginning to look into the best wine making kits for beginners, it can be frazzling to know what you need (ingredients and equipment) and how the heck to do it!
Another disclaimer: I personally have not tried the winemaking kits below, they are simply the most popular kits. When I have made wine it's made from scratch, or in a winery itself.
Though, I see the issue with beginner winemakers who want to get a winemaking kit and it is SO confusing. I know how to fix this issue and make it seamless for beginners to start *easily*.
I have broken it down for you below to be crystal clear...
My goal is for you to be able to have a one-stop shop below.
You can purchase the best wine making kit for beginners ingredients in one-click, then purchase your beginner winemaking equipment in one-click, on your way to rock and roll!

Build Confidence, Not Clutter
As crafty and purpose-driven woman, we all know the feeling of starting a craft or a new hobby and it ending up in the corner of our office collecting dust bunnies...
That does not have to be the case for your relationship to winemaking!
I wanted to share some AMAZING resources that beginner winemakers adore to begin your love affair...
Build your confidence with these reads (& that will look reaaaallly good on your bookshelf).
You can stay away from the clutter *for now* until you are ready to jump into a more serious long-term relationship with winemaking.
First up, a winemakers favorite: From Vine to Wine! This book is mostly about how to grow grape vines and then how to make wine from them.
It gives an overview of.. well.. Vine to wine! A perfect starter for any aspiring winemaker in the more traditional sense of winemaking.
Now, I want to share my personal FAVORITE book on winemaking that has transformed the way I view and enjoy wines.
The one and only, Pascal Baudar's Wildcrafting Brewer!
*This must be added to the best wine making kit for beginners*
His approach is a more primitive view into the world of brewing, winemaking, ciders, and more! He teaches how to use your local environment to craft drinks, the way humans made wine long ago I'm sure!
(This book looks REALLY good on a bookshelf, and is a great conversation starter, trust me!)

Both of these resources have a different approach to winemaking. They will offer differing perspectives which is great for a new winemaker, you get to choose which style of wine you want to make!
So, we've looked into the resources to build some winemaking confidence, now let's look into the most important question when we are ready to start making wine...
THE Most Important Question...
You have one BIG question to ask yourself before moving forward, and this is REALLY important.
How much wine do you want to make?
You have two options:
- One-gallon batch (which makes 5 bottles)
- Five-gallon batch (which makes 30 bottles)
I get it, five bottles to 30 bottles is a big difference, but most kits serve a one-gallon or five-gallon...
Once you get comfortable with making wine on your own you can mess around with the batch size.
A one-gallon is a great place to start, also because you can *easily* ferment ciders, beers, wines, sodas, and more in a one gallon!
The best wine making kit for beginners is one that starts small!

Beginner Wine Making Kit (Equipment ONLY)
Perfect, you have your ingredient kit locked and loaded, and now it's time for the fun part: equipment.
These Amazon carts are the basics of what you need to be successful in your first wine making.
Five Gallon
Equipment for a Bold Five Gallon
Includes: One 5-gallon fermenter, sanitizer, hydrometer, wine bottles & corks, argon, siphon hose
ONE Gallon
Equipment for a Decadent One-Gallon
Includes: One 1-gallon fermenter, sanitizer, hydrometer, wine bottles & corks, argon, siphon hose
A hydrometer is important because it will tell you the ABV of your finished wine. Learning how to use a hydrometer is super easy and takes no time to figure out!
I added the wine bottles with corks already in the cap so you do not have to buy separate wine corks AND a corker. It is a bit cheaper this way!
