How many times have you sat down with a glass of wine with the aspirations of a cozy wine and books night?
Then, you realize you're empty handed. No book next you (because we all know how hard it is to find a good book)... Only then, do you shrug it off and settle for the glass of wine.
You take a sip, and you are disappointed.
The wine is sub-par, and now your beautiful aspirations of a wine and book night have gone straight out the window.
We can't let that happen, yet again!

I am obsessed when I find a good book, and nothing tops a cozy wine night than adding a good book (especially when you have a good wine)!
Good wine, good book, a beautiful sunset maybe. You can die happy.
Explore these page-turner books (that I am obsessed with!) and the earthy wines to go with them. You are sure to find something interesting and be well on your way to the best coziest wine night!
This post is all about wine and books.
Best Wine and Books For Your Cozy Evening
The best books are the ones you can get lost in.
The stories. The characters. The twists and turns of the plot.
So, these books are mostly stories and memoir to get totally lost in... Plus, some amazing wines (wink wink).

Books
I believe books find you when you are ready for them, whether that is in business, love, family, or life, they speak to you when you are ready to hear them.
I hope one of these books speaks to you the way they spoke to me.
1. The Glass Castle
My all time favorite book: The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. A beautiful story of family, hardship, loyalty, and growth.
A page-turner book for any occasion. I initially got gifted this book when I was younger, only to read it years later. Walls is a phenomenal writer and you will be enthralled the entire time.
The story follows a young girl through her challenging childhood with a drunk father and a distant mother. Just to all live in New York City later on, the parents homeless and the daughter in a successful career.
An interesting story that you might read more than once in your life to really digest.
2. Between Two Kingdoms
Actually just finished this book, a beautiful account of a young woman who got diagnosed with leukemia. The stage is set in Paris and then in New York City. One of the best writers literally EVER.
Your eyes dance on the page and before you know it, you'll have read 20 pages.
A story of a life destroyed, only to birth new beginnings, growth, and exploration.
3. Of Water and the Spirit
For my spiritual lovers out there! Of Water and the Spirit is a TRUE story, yes, a true story. A young African boy was kidnapped from his tribe in Africa by white Jesuit's.
He was taken back to Europe to learn the way of the "white man". Only when he got older did he return to his tribe...
Though, he had to undergo the "initiation" that all tribesmen go through when they are younger. A miraculous story of ritual, magic, spirit and life.
A shorter book and easy read!

4. Beneath a Scarlet Sky
The ULTIMATE page-turner... A true story about a young Italian boy during World War II. He enlists in the German army only to become the driver for Hitler's left-hand man.
Getting a front seat to the action, literally, he becomes a spy for the opposition. Risking his life, hiding Jews in the mountains of Italy, he became an unrelentless hero.
A vivid account of courage, bravery, love, and life.
5. Wild by Cheryl Strayed
I personally have not read this book, though, it is perfect for a cozy wine and books night: a story of adventure, loss, and rememberance.
The Pacific Crest Trail runs through California and she tells a story of moving forward even when all the odds are stacked against you.
This is on my list! A story of perseverance, transformation, and remembrance.
6. House of Mondavi
For all the wine lovers out there! Robert Mondavi is a VERY well known winery out in Napa Valley California, and this story is the rise and fall of their dynasty.
If you read this book, then go to Napa and visit Mondavi... How cool would that be?!
The story begins when the Italian family came through Ellis Island. A story of family drama, building a historic legacy, and fall of the Mondavi family.
Written by a journalist using thousands of hours of interviews, a great story for any wine lover and history buff!

7. Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
Recommended to me by a friend, and honestly the world, I actually haven't read this book believe it or not.
I feel like everyone and their mothers has read this book!
A novel for the nature-loving ladies who get enthralled by murder mysteries and coming of age stories. A fiction novel for a page turner wine and books night.
8. The Winemaker's Wife
Another history buff book for those wine lovers out there! The Winemaker's Wife is a riveting story based in the vineyards of Champagne, France during World War II in the 1940s.
A story of fear, betrayal, forgiveness, and love. A book perfect for the fans of The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
9. The Third Door
When I picked up this book I think I finished it within 5-6 days, it is THAT good. I also read it at the time I needed to hear it...
This is not your typical "4 ways to success" kind of book. It's a story of a young boy who wanted to understand HOW successful people got to be successful.
He details his journey of crafting the perfect thesis, sending emails after emails trying to get interviews, etc.
He interviewed people like Larry King, Lady Gaga, Bill Gates, and more! His theory on success, and how you can achieve it too, is inspiring to all those who seek greater success in their lives.
10. The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
I would call this book a "teacher in words". Robin Sharma uses storytelling to showcase important notions on fulfilling your dreams and reaching your life's destiny.
An insightful story that can be returned to over and over again.
The story is about a high-class lawyer who is faced with a life threatening crisis. Only then, does he realize the life he was living did not serve him, or his greatest potential.
With an out of balance life, the lawyer sets off to India to find himself, and the wisdom, he needed to bring balance back to his life. But, not only balance but joy, happiness, and wealth.
A story of new beginnings, finding yourself, wisdom, and joy.
